Remembrances |

“Vita Cannon lived in San Francisco with her mother, Thelma Cannon, and her brother Henry Cannon. Vita arrived in Guyana on 8/18/1977, one day before her mother and brother. Henry Cannon survived November 18th, as he was in the Lamaha Gardens house in Georgetown. What happened to him after that I don't know. Vita had great power and used it well. As many siblings who have grown up with differently-abled children, she had a maturity and stability that were exceptional, as was her size for her age. She was beautiful. Vita, so well named. You are loved, missed, and remembered always. ” - Kathryn Barbour |
