Remembrances |

“I believe this is the Jeff Carey whom I knew in DeKalb, Illinois. I was good friends with his sister, Janzy, whom I'd love to hear from. We had heard that Jeff was among the victims of this terrible massacre, and my entire family was heart-broken to have received this news. I remember Jeff as a passionate, idealistic, and razor-sharp young man. I'm so very sorry that he died in this senseless tragedy, and hope that his family found some comfort over the years in remembering the good times they had with him. I know he loved them all very much. ” - Deborah Smith |
