Remembrances |

“Ida Mae Clipps helped at Frankie Grigsby's concession stand in the lounge/greeting area of the San Francisco Temple that sold ham, turnip greens and corn bread -- beyond delicious, habit-forming. I and many others put aside a couple dollars of our $8 monthly allowances for at least one splurge at her stand. I have earlier memories are of staying at her house in San Francisco on Saturday nights, in the years before we bought the SF Temple. Ida Mae came to Jonestown alone, unaccompanied by any of her relatives. RIP, sweet sister. You are forever remembered and missed, by more than just me, I'm sure. ” - Kathryn Barbour“She is the only daughter of Bennie Pleasant (Taft,Tx), her brothers are Clemon White (Taft,Tx), Leroy Pleasant Sr. (Corpus Christi, Tx), Samuel Pleasant (Austin, Tx) and Ernest Pleasant (Taft,Tx).
