His father Steve N Daniel, has raised me since I was in junior high school, well over 20 years ago. I stumbled across this site today, and I showed it to him. I don't think I've ever seen an expression like that before in my life. There are no words to describe it, but I know it did eventually turn to joy. He saw his son's picture today for the forst tim in over 30 years. I know that he has been beyond heartbroken since this tragedy. There are no words of comfort, even 30 years after, that can begin to ease some of this man's pain. He is a honest, caring, gentle man. He's never lifted a hand to me and he loves children more than anything in the world. I'm so sorry that you didn't get the life that he wanted to give to you. He's such a gentle present father. I am absolutely honored to have him as my step-father. Especially considering the amount of pain and grief that he carries for his son, not many men could give his heart to another child after that.
