Remembrances |

“Viola and Ray Godshalk were two of the kindest and open people I had ever met when we crossed paths in Redwood, California. We were hitchhiking back to Seattle after spending much of the summer in san Francisco (1967. They took us into their home, fed us and gave us a note in an envelope that they said to open when we were back on our way....it contained a message of peace and hope, and five dollars which we knew they probably could not afford.
We stayed in touch for a few years, but soon lost contact as so often happens... Last heard from them when the Peopl's Temple Group came to Seattle just before leaving the country. They were loving, giving and full of life - God Bless them! ” - Roger W |
