Re: Peoples Temple of the Disciples of Christ v. Attorney General of the State of California

Dear Mr. Beck:

All claims in the Peoples temple [Temple] Receivership have now been settled. There are approximately $14,000,000.00 in approved claims and there will be probably eventually be about $9,000,000.00 to distribute. The Receiver has recently obtained an additional $500,000.00 found in a Nassau Bank.

You will be receiving thirty-one percent of the Receiver’s Certificate that you settled for in this first distribution. In late November, there will probably be a second distribution of an additional thirty to thirty-five percent of the face value of your certificate. If additional monies are found, it is possible that yet further distributions will be made.

Enclosed with this letter is a Disbursement. If you find the Disbursement in order, please sign it were indicated. Also indicated is a copy of a check made payable to both you and me. You should endorse the check on the back exactly as your name appears on it. If your name is misspelled, endorsed the draft as your name is misspelled and, then, endorse it below with your name as properly spelled. When I received from you the check endorsed by you and the signed Disbursement, I will deposit the check and art Trust Account and forward to you our check for the amount indicated that you will be receiving in the Disbursement.
