The Poetry of Sandy Bradshaw

Sandy Bradshaw was a member of Peoples Temple who did not die in Jonestown – and her husband, Lee Ingram, survived by being on the basketball team in Georgetown – although her sister Pamela Bradshaw Moton did die there. Sandy was one of the Temple’s principal leaders who happened to be in the San Francisco headquarters on November 18. She later worked on the staff of Temple lawyer Charles Garry as he reviewed files to turn over to the Temple receiver.

Most of Sandy’s written legacy is in the form of memos and handwritten notes, but she also wrote two poems that were recovered from the Jonestown site following the deaths in November 1978.
