I Write

In the introduction to Jonestown Lullaby, her volume of collected verse, Teri Buford described the way she used her writing to help find her way back to a more peaceful life after her life in Peoples Temple. She also wrote a tribute to those who died that day as part of that introduction.

I write from the poor side of silence
Of an unholy priesthood that
Captured my soul for a time
