By teletype dated January 19, 1979, Georgetown Legatt reports that on January 12, 1979, Government of Guyana advised American Ambassador that no objection interposed to invitation for interviews of their own volition at the Embassy of People’s Temple members remaining in Guyana.
Marian Lee Ingram contacted telephonically at PT headquarters at Georgetown and PT members invited for interviews at their own volition.
Ingram advised telephonically January 17, 1979 that conference held with PT members and he as well as Paula Adams, Michael Touchette, Deborah Touchette, Carl Barnett, Calvin

Douglas, and Stephanie Jones declined to appear for interviews. Nedra Yates is only other PT member unaccounted for and resides in small village outside Georgetown. She appears at Georgetown about once a week and Ingram promises Yates will call Legatt on next visit and give her decision.
PT members Larry Layton, Charles Beikman and Stephen [Stephan] Jones are in jail. Assistant Police Commissioner C. A. Roberts advises they may not be interviewed.
