1. Police report was read today (Jan 9) in the case of the murders of Linda Sharon Amos (a.k.a. Sharon Amos) et al. Magistrate Perm Persaud announced that he would start the inquiry beginning Jan 17. Persaud said that Magistrate Christian, who conducted the initial inquiry, was reluctant to provide over the new inquiry in light of the statement that Jones made in court on Dec 18 (Ref A).
2. Persaud is one of the most experienced magistrates in Guyana and is highly respected within the legal profession.
