Lab. No.: 00117014 S NM

Specimens received: January 17, 1980

Q1289 Bullet jacket

Specimen Q1289 was the copper jacket from a .30 caliber bullet which was fired from a barrel rifled with six grooves, right twist, like the barrels of the K14, K15, K16, K18, and K19 rifles listed in Laboratory report 81219043 S NM, dated December 22, 1978. However, because of corrosion there are no remaining macroscopic marks of value in Q1289 for comparison purposes. Therefore, it could not be determined if Q1289 had been fired from any of these weapons.
