United States Attorney (USA) G. William Hunter, Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) Robert L. Dondero, Departmental Attorney Alan Sobol, and Special Agent (SA) Donald R. Hale will travel to Georgetown, Guyana, to arrive Georgetown, Sunday, November 9, 1980, at 7 PM, via Guyana Airlines flight 701.
USA desires meeting with Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) E. A. Ramao and Deputy [George] Jackman. USA is also

interested in talking with Inspector Jagnahom [Jagmahon], who took the signed confession from Larry Layton on November 22, 1978, and Mortimer Kansin Ally, Supernumerary Constable, Port Kaituma, Guyana, who furnished deposition concerning oral confession of Larry Layton on November 18, 1978.
American Embassy, Georgetown, should be aware that this trip is separate and in addition to any trip, FBI agents may make to Georgetown in efforts to escort Layton after his release by Government of Guyana (GOG).
USA entourage would request chartered plane to Port Kaituma and arrange GOG permission and ground transportation to Jonestown settlement. An Embassy official or Deputy Chief of Mission is requested to accompany entourage.
Embassy is also requested to meet arriving flight to assist in immigration and customs and to secure two double accommodations for November 9 through 14, 1980.
Bureau requested to relay to State Department for immediate transmittal for American Embassy, Georgetown.
