On November 13, 1980, Murray Stein, Office of International Affairs, Criminal Division, US Department of Justice (DOJ), Washington, DC, advised FBIHQ that subject Lawrence [Laurence] John Layton will not be expelled from Georgetown, Guyana, and escorted by the US Marshals Service (USMS) to the United States as set forth in retel.

He advised that Layton will be returned to the

United States during the week of November 17, 1980; however, the exact date and travel itinerary has not been worked out by his office, the US Department of State, and the Government of Guyana. He advised that he would immediately notify FBIHQ once the above travel plans are finalized.

FBIHQ will maintain contact with Mr. Stein regarding subject Layton’s return to the United States.
