Re: Peoples Temple/FCC
Dear Jim:
Enclosed are copies of all correspondence and my personal notes involving the FCC and Peoples Temple.
In one of my telephone conversations with Jeff Young, he informed me of a file on Peoples Temple resulting from an inquiry by Senator Barry Goldwater, Arizona. Please use your efforts to obtain copies of the information contained in that file. The intercept that gave rise to the August 10, 1978 letter was from Douglas, Arizona.
Also, please note in the FCC August 10th letter that the letter caption and last paragraph therein refers to WD6DVI while the first paragraph therein refers to WA6DTJ. All the intercepts omit any mention of WA6DTJ and refer only to WD6DVI WB6NID/8R3.
It was agreed that your billings would be at $75.00 per hour. Please direct all billing and communication to my attention.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Yours truly,
/s/ Marshall R. Bentzman
