SUBJ: JCS SITREP 006/252300Z NOV 78
1. Situation:
A. All bodies all have been removed from Jonestown. Final count is being confirmed; however, initial indications are 910 people died in Jonestown. Estimate last flight carrying remains will depart Georgetown 260700Z Nov 78.

B. COMUSJTF [Command US Jonestown Task Force] plans to remove personnel and equipment from Matthew’s Ridge and Jonestown to Georgetown by late 25 Nov 78.
C. There are 80 known survivors in Georgetown under custody of Government of Guyana (GOG). Two have been charged with murder by the GOG who still has not indicated when remaining survivors will be released.
D. Extensive SAR efforts have failed to locate any additional survivors.
E. Survivors will be returned to Charleston AFB, SC by C-141. Department of Justice will provide US marshals for inflight security and other US government agencies will assume responsibility upon arrival in United States.
F. Identification of remains at Dover is limited by lack of data. Files found in Jonestown are being forwarded and next of kin have been asked to provide medical records. Additionally, military files are being researched.
2. Friendly operations.
A. JCS authorized an additional 29 personnel to assist in processing remains at Dover AFB.
B. Total military in Guyana as of 251958Z Nov 78 is 321.
