Bureau teletype to all offices, 12/1/78.
San Francisco teletype to Bureau, 12/4/78.
Interviews of [deleted name] and [deleted name] (protect identities) at New York on 12/3-12/4/78 substantiated the information contained in referenced teletypes, including names of top echelon members of PT, Planning Commission, and probable existance [existence] of hit list. Investigation determined Terry Bufford [Buford] to the most dangerous and most knowledgeable member of PT Planning Commission.
At 11:15 PM, NBC News coverage taken 9:30 AM this date at Memphis, Tenn., showed atty Mark Lane and Terry Bufford entering Lane’s house.

From information developed through interviews conducted to date, it appears that PT church should no longer be considered a legitimate religious organization. USA [U.S. Attorney], San Francisco should be contacted to consider issuance of subpoena duces tecum for records of PT church, and subpoena’s [subpoenas] for top echelon PT Planning Commission members to appear before the grand jury investigating conspiracy to assassinate Congressman Ryan.
Memphis will immediately attempt to locate and interview Terry Bufford at Mark Lane’s residence.
Armed and dangerous – suicidal tendencies.
