Re previous Butels concerning autopsies on deceased victims from Jonestown, Guyana incident.
The FBI has obtained written permission from the next of kin of six deceased victims of the Jonestown, Guyana incident allowing the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology at Dover Air Force Base, Dover, Delaware, to perform autopsies on those victims.
Efforts are continuing and Los Angeles to locate the next of kin of victims Karl Gloser Hall and Odell Blackwell. The Department of Justice desires that the autopsies on seven deceased persons be conducted as soon as possible and further requests

that additional victims be selected by the FBI at random as candidates for autopsy and efforts made to contact their next of kin until a seventh consent is obtained, the satisfying the Department of Justice’s requirements.
Accordingly, FBI HQ has selected at random as candidates for autopsy Kevin Earl Smith, last known address 1302 ½ West 94th Street, Los Angeles, California. He was previously arrested in Los Angeles for carrying a concealed weapon. Also selected was Pauline Groot, 170 Lowgap Road, Ukiah, California, and Violett Esther Dillard, last known address, P.O. Box 24523, San Francisco, California, who was previously arrested in San Francisco on a DUI charge.
San Francisco and Los Angeles should conduct immediate investigation to locate next of kin of above persons and provide same with the consent form, the text of which has been previously furnished your offices. Sutel results.
