Did the armed guards in Jonestown also die? Were they among the last ones to do so?

While it is safe to assume that the armed guards were not among the first adults to die, no one knows how close to the end their deaths occurred. This is in part because no one has identified exactly who the guards were or even how many guards there were. Even with that information, the answer to the question would still be unknown, because there are no photographs known to be in existence of bodies lying in situ with affixed identification numbers.

What is known – however many there were and whether the identities of the armed guards overlapped with the identities of the shooters at the airstrip – is that they all died that day.
