The photos in this gallery were take by John and Barbara Moore when they visited Jonestown in May 1978 (Moore Family Photos 1978); and by Fielding McGehee and Rebecca Moore when they visited Jonestown in 1979 (Moore Family Photos 1979). Although there are quite a few family photos from 1978, there are also a number of shots of life in Jonestown. The photos in 1979 show the community in absentia: buildings, pathways, the surrounding countryside, and Guyana.
