I am a professor of Religious Studies at the University of Kansas and a historian of American religious movements.  I strongly support the installation the memorial to the many who died at Jonestown.  By honoring victims we confirm their humanity and comfort their families.  I hope that the memorial and its installation service proceed as scheduled.
