Wayne’s Eyes

by Mickey Touchette

I didn’t see Wayne very much over the past several years, but when I did, it was always good to hug him, to hear the familiarity of his voice, to look into his unusually sparkling blue eyes.

Those eyes. When he spoke of something very serious, his eyes became intense and looked straight at you.

I will always remember the great true life stories Wayne told with humor and laughter, his as well as everyone who listened. It still doesn’t seem right that he’s gone.
