What does Jonestown look like today?

The isolation in the dense jungle of Guyana’s Northwest District which made it attractive to Peoples Temple has worked against its preservation. isitors to the site in 1998 found few remains of the community, and the intervening years have served to further bury them. Proposals have been made to memorialize the site, but none have evolved past the planning stage.
