1. Embassy has learned from [name deleted] and confirmed through other local sources that Michael Prokes departed Georgetown for New York during Christmas rush on Pan Am flight 228 Sunday, December 24. Pan Am obviously slipped up in enforcing its own dictumS that survivors be accompanied by sky marshals.

2. Prokes is believed to be at mother’s home: Mary Prokes, 1701 Concord Avenue, Modesto, CA., tel 209/523-0666.

3. [Tim Carter and Michael Carter], who discussed travel arrangements morning of December 27 with Consul, hope to leave as soon as arrangements can be made. Septel follows on departure plans of [name deleted] and other survivors.
