Suzanne Jones, Stephan Jones’ sister, contacted Department to inquire about introductory statement made by defense attorney [Rex] McKay during January 19 hearing. Ms. Jones said she had been informed that attorney McKay had recommended that homicide charges be dropped and replaced by contempt of court charges. Department would appreciate report on introductory statement by McKay if information is available to post.
