Re: RYMUR

FBI file no: 89-4286
Lab. No.: 81221042 S NM

Specimens received: December 21, 1978

K 36: Videotape cassette marked NBC NEWS Guyana 78M0337, Dub 5 of 7

Result of examination:

Review of the K36 cassette revealed that the shooter standing in front of the tractor was firing on appeared to be a bolt-action rifle which did not have a telescopic sight. Therefore, this weapon is consistent with and could be the K15 rifle listed in Laboratory report 81219043 S NM, dated December 22, 1978. However, due to lack of sufficient detail in the K36 videotape it was not possible to definitely establish that this firearm was K15.

It was not possible to determine the calibers or manufacturers of any of the weapons fired by the individuals in the trailer.
