Re: RYMUR

FBI file no: 89-4286
Lab. No.: 81222024 G UV SH

Specimens received: December 22, 1978

Q 54 – One cassette tape recording of radio transmissions between the People’s Temple, San Francisco and People’s Temple, Jonestown, Guyana

Result of examination:

Analysis of Q54 indicates that a “double meaning” tape code is probably being used between the radio operators. However, due to the date of the tape transmissions, August 1978, and the poor quality of segments of the tape, no further examination of Q54 is being conducted.

In the event San Francisco desires additional work on Q54, a transcript of the portion to be analyzed should be submitted to the Technical Evaluation Unit.

Q54 and a copy of Q54 will be forwarded to San Francisco by the Engineering Section, Technical Services Division.
