[Editor’s note: Several pages of Serial 1878 consist of notes – both handwritten and typed – summarizing the Temple’s notations on audiotapes recovered by the FBI at Jonestown. Results of examination:

Three direct copies each were prepared of specimens Q1 through Q 32 with two copies on magnetic tape cassettes and one copy on five-inch reels of magnetic tape recorded at 3 3/4 inches per second in a full-track configuration. Two copies of Q1 through Q 32 consisted of 36 tape cassettes each and one copy consisted of 61 five-inch tape reels.

Q1 through Q 32 and one direct copy of Q1 through Q 32 (consisting of 36 cassettes tapes) were forwarded to SAC, Knoxville on 12/8/78, via registered mail #716004.

One direct copy of Q1 through Q 32 (consisting of 36 cassette tapes) was forwarded to SAC, San Francisco on 12/8/78, via registered mail #716031.

The 61 reel copies were hand- delivered to the FBI Laboratory.
