1. Charles Beikman was sentenced to serve a term of imprisonment of at least five years for the attempted murder of Stephanie Jones on November 18, 1978. The sentence was handed down this morning, Tuesday, April 8, 1980, by High Court Justice Kennard. With time off for good behavior prisoner can expect to serve forty months from the effective date, April 1, 1980.
2. The charges of the murders of Sharon Amos and her three children remain outstanding, although it may be that they will not be pressed.
