RYMUR, MAJOR CASE 16; 00: SAN FRANCISCO

Re: San Francisco teletype dated September 11, 1985.

United States vs. Larry Layton

Robert F. Peckham, Chief Judge, United States District Court, Northern District of California, postponed trial date of January 2 until April 15, 1986. Trial date of April 15, 1986, is a realistic trial date and will most probably start jury selection at that time.

United States Attorney’s office and FBI, San Francisco, anticipates travel to Georgetown, Guyana and Port Kaituma, Northwest Territory in February, 1986.

Official request and justification will be made by

PAGE TWO SF 89A-250 UNCLAS

separate communication at a later date.

San Francisco will advise of any developments and/or change in trial status.

The Bureau is requested to relay the above to the U.S. State Department, Bureau of Consular Affairs, CA/SI/CCS, attention [name deleted].
