1. Dept has been contacted by Ms. Patricia Lynch of ABC-TV news was now preparing to air a program entitled quote Jonestown: Two Years After end quote. Ms. Lynch has requested the opportunity to talk to you and other department officials about the Carpenter-Crimmins Report on Jonestown. She stated her initial contact would not be an interview but rather a preliminary effort to determine which officials might contribute most to the

2. The department intends to inform Ms. Lynch of the present whereabouts of those persons she wishes to speak with an advisor to contact those individuals directly who will then have the opportunity to decide whether or not they wish to participate. The dept. is neither encouraging nor discouraging participation but rather providing forewarning of Ms. Lynch’s possible contact. The show is scheduled to air sometime near the two-year anniversary date of Jonestown. Dean.
