– These are notes taken from his files, Maria said you already have these on file, but I typed it over anyway for cross-reference.
- That in 1974 Jones had put out an appeal for all unregistered weapons is people could acquire
- That the weapons were subsequently taken to Guyana chartered a/c out of Miami
- That funds in excess of $200,000.00 & $300,000.00 were seen in cash in one members room.
- Those monies are normally shipped via mail c/o Paula Adams at the Mission in Guyana.
- That Jones is an active supporter of both the Black Muslims and Black Panther organization
- That Jones had considerable political power both in Mendocino and SF counties
- That Jones was seen throwing teargas into a demonstration in Guyana in 1975
- That Jones would like to become a factor in the Guy govt or power structure
- That he has upwards of 27,000 acres in Guyana approximately 30 miles upriver from Georgetown whereupon he has his Agricultural Mission

Murtagh & this agent met w/ approximately 14 people who over the preceding 18 months had left the PTCC [Peoples Temple Christian Church] & its pastor JW Jones
Prior to this meeting on Feb. 5, 1977 I had net with an interdediary [intermediary] of theirs who had told a bizarre tale of the goings-on within the church.
These allegations were checked with a Senior member of the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Department who acceded to their probability and acknowledged that the people who had left the church had cause for concern over possible physical harm as a result of their leaving.
