Chief Justice Boller
Was introduced to him at his table. Later he came to hours and sat & spoke to Tim C. [Carter] for some time.
We danced – he asked me about Jonestown. I told him it was beautiful etc. He said he had been invited to go there anytime by [Jim/Tim] & that he wanted to, when he got a vacation. Seemed proud of the invitation.
We talked about our educations in Britain. How are cousins live near each other in Surrey & Sussex.
He said that he had gone to the States financed by the US & visited 13 states. I asked was it on judicial business & he gave some explanation about courts and Congress, but the music was so loud I could not hear him thoroughly. He said “You know I’m Chief Justice?”
I said of course, the Rev. Jones had spoken so very highly of him and that is how I knew him.
He was exuberant – smiled & said “Ohhh.”
I left, asked Debbie should I ask him any questions about Wanda.

She said no, that he was over our marriages. So I went back.
He’s an old, educated lecherous fool.
I said that perhaps the people who came with were still awaiting him to return to his table – his reply was: “My wife is in Berbice for a few days and I am a free agent tonight.”
He asked me what I did for a living in the States. I said a surgeons assistant. He responded by telling a story of how he got a fish bone stuck in his throat.
He said the entertainment was good, that Marthea [Hicks] had an exquisite voice.
(Should we invite Bollers for dinner – probably yes – Sharon [Amos])

VISITATIONS FROM DEBBIE BLAKEY & SELF-ANALYSIS…

Visitations
Cassandra Minor: She is 2 months pregnant. When Leona [Collier] told me about it she mentioned that she felt the girl should not get an abortion due to her pitiful background. Which is: her mother died when she was 13, she had 2 brain surgeries in her childhood, one kidney, one eye, and rejection from her relatives after her mom’s death. The reason that they think that this won’t be transferred to the baby is that Cassandra’s mom was an alcoholic and that was her death as well. She was an alcoholic during the time that she was carrying Cassandra.
Kathy Jackson: Three Months pregnant. Still has her job and has been much more active in church work since the discovery. She has one abortion already, so I don’t think that she wants to have another. She is loosing weight from what Debbie Evans says.
Versi Connesero: Took over Ruby’s job with the housing and procurement runs. It is still too short of time to judge how well she is doing. She has a good attitude and has not joined into the racial thing that was much more prevalent when Lee was here. It is not so noticeable now that he is gone. She still has her job, but has time off as she sprained her foot on the job. She returns in about a week.
Betty McCann: Her attitude is very good considering she is now stuck with all the work that Tish [Leroy] never did. She has found many interesting things in Tish’s drawers, which Maria McCann said she reported. I think that she will be hit with a lot of slack as she is the only one in charge of the accounting office and she is unfortunately light skinned.
Tina Turner: Working with procurement. Would like to go to Guyana, as her family is that her and her husband leaves tonight. She has not requested to go however. She seems to be talking more with Robin now and this is where I get the information.
Robin Tschetter: Works well. Gets a lot of shit as she is in charge of the needs and makes a lot of the decisions if people are asking too much on their needs. She has been spending more time with the youth like Andrea, Lisa Gibson as they were asking her how come she never did anything with them. All the youth go roller skating each Friday, Hue [Fortson] will take them and Robin went twice. Leona had this thing organized to give the kids some outlet.
Diane Wilkerson: [Teri] Buford knows that in detail. She approached me last night I said that she wanted to get a

job at Connie’s restaurant on Fillmore. The buses have now come to the city so there is little work in that department anymore. She has been very open about her dealings with the lesbian bars in SF. She has had an affair with both Mary Donnell and Marthea Hicks. She admitted to Versi that she had blown grass with them and drank. She made the comment after talking with Loretta on the radio, “she sounds so strong, and look at me now.”
She has, funny enough a good attitude in a lot of ways, she’s just acting out. She asks for work to do and does check in during the days (most of the time)
James Evans: Debbie [Evans] said that she wished that he could come over. There isn’t that much for him to do in the line of buses as they are down here now, trying to be sold. He has had some unpleasant incidents with the police harassing him and he doesn’t feel comfortable in USA anymore.
David Galley [Gallie]: Hard worker. Having a relationship with Jewel Wilson and feels rather stuck in the situation. He told Jack that sometimes she is nice & other times he hates her with a passion. She approached him a couple of weeks ago and said that she hadn’t had her period. That had him very upset as she said that she wouldn’t let him have the baby if she was. Jack talked with him about it. David does vent his feelings to Jack and Jack has been telling me.
Colton Henry: Got a job working for Garrison and hasn’t turned in his check (he has worked for him for a week). We talked with him last night, very friendly, and will start turning them in every Friday.
He has had a relationship with Elaine Keeler and she went crazy on him one day. Said that no man was gonna fuck her and then walk away. They got into an argument. She threw a brick at his chest (all this in the backyard parking lot) and broke the windows of his station wagon. Colton has had a good attitude and does do church work without complaint.
Rennie & Bob Kice: Ready and packed to come there. They are waiting for the sale to go thru. Bob quit his job, so depending on when the house sale goes thru probably by Nov 1 they are ready. The house was supposed to be sold by the 21 Oct, but there was a problem with the contract.
Alice Ingram: Ready to go when her place goes through. Said that she wants to go on her own as she has some business to take care of in New York for 4 days first.

Jane Mutschmann: Requested for work to do in the evenings, so I thought that she could open the mail that Carter used to open. There is very little that comes in each day so I thought that it would be safe. It made her feel that she was doing more than just answering the phones, as she put it. She still goes out on various occasions in the evening to “get a cup of coffee”. I don’t know if I should say anything to her as it is her only outlet. She has asked people to go with her, Carol Stahl went one weekend which seemed good.
Claire Janaro: Wants letters from the kids and spouse. She’s shut out from what’s going on as her entire family is there and she is in the Valley without word from SF about what is going on. She has been very weepy about her predicament and is truly an unstable personality, emotionally. It’s hard to be civil with her whining.
Harold Cordell: An enigma. Needs letters often from his family and Edith to keep his haead in line. Paddy C. did not let him talk with Edith one night and he said he knew that she worked in the laundry room right across from the radio room, on the night shift. He became very upset about that.
Maxine Betts: Needs letters from Paddy C. She is very secluded in the sense that she is always in the kitchen and doesn’t get out much. She seems lonely and was happy after talking with Paddy on the radio the last time. She is gaining weight and that makes her depressed also.
Vernell [Henderson]: Talks with me a lot and calls me her daughter. She is worried about her daughter and wants to get it cleared to have her get a passport so that perhaps she can go over later. She works consistently on the needs with Robin and has said that she wishes she could do more work about the church. She still has good income.
Andrea Martin: Her attitude is cleaning up. We had a spat a bit ago and things are now settling. She is helping Cassandra to find maternity and infant clothes at the flea market and in the Goodwill stores.
Tom Adams: Is Tom Adams. Comm see comm saa… Does a very good job of keeping his cool with Hattie in his room during the evenings.
Mike Klingman & Kim Livingston Wade: Said to be having some kind of relationship with Kim Wade. Don’t know if it is sex yet, but they enjoy being together. Preston felt there was something going on between them and Robin felt the same thing when she was at the Ranch. Marlene said the same thing yesterday.

Edith Roller: Written up by Lisa Layton:
Edth came to my room last night looking for Debbie B. [Blakey]. She stayed and told me that Marcie [Marceline Jones] had given her a message from Jim after service one night to the effect that someone very close to her had turned against the church. (This is not her exact wording – but conveys the meaning) She then had lunch with Marcie and Marcie’s mother [Charlotte Baldwin] a few days later. She pondered for quite a while who the person that Jim referred to could be.
She said that Tim Stoen often came to her apartment for a visit, but that she didn’t know about his relationship with Grace. Anyway she had read in the Examiner & Chronicle about Tim.
I told her that I had read the reminiscences of Lenin, written by Krupskaya (his wife) and that I learned from that book that friends and coworkers of Lenin’s left the movement often. Some of these people became enemies and traitors where others fell by the wayside or maybe wanted to do their own thing. However I didn’t mention the name of Tim in this or any other connection. I was responding to her “being shocked” about people leaving, explaining that even in the days before the Russian Revolution, this happened all the time.
PS. She also talked about wanting to retire at 62 (the end of this year) and that she had talked with Gene Chaikin about that, but hadn’t heard. I did not respond to that, thinking she wanted to know where Chaikin was. But made a general remark that I thought that a senior would have the privilege to retire at 62 if that is what she wanted. Lisa.
Carol Dennis: Needs to go over, she went to LA in the lady that she used to work for offered her job back to her. She wants to take it as she said that she doesn’t like SF as it reminds her of the kids that are no longer here. She seems to be also having marital problems with Elihue.
Lisa Layton: Doing much better. Still tires easily. Her only worry is that she will have to share a room/cabin with someone.
Jim Randolph: Works his butt off. He still talks in long details and leaves himself wide open for a sharp word, as his details are so damn lengthy. Otherwise he has excellent follow-thru and is responsible for getting the peoples things categorized, number and together and to the airport, without incident.
Hue Fortson: Getting much more involved. On the Housing committee with Versi and Kris Kice. I think he feels a little uncomfortable at times as he is a newer minister from LA and the people are getting to know him.
