Based on an interview of more than two hours duration, Joseph Mazor stated and suggested the following:

1. 1. Mazor actively represents only the Swinney family at this time.
   2. Mazor is actively involved in exposing criminal activities committed by Tim Stoen.
   3. Based on proof that Stoen had committed forgery, the Bonding company turned over to Mazor $5000.00, which is Stoen’s bond as a notary to be distributed to the Swinney’s and to the Myrtle [Mertle]-Mills.
   4. According to a polygraph test taken by Neva Sly, Tim Stoen ordered Neva Sly and Tish Leroy to forge upwards of 2000 instruments of power of attorney. According to the test neither Jim Jones nor Eugene Chaikin ordered the forgeries.
   5. Mazor possesses direct testimony proving that the child John Stoen is a natural child of Jim Jones and Grace Stoen.
   6. Tim Stoen has refused to accept a grant of total immunity in all matters pertaining to the People’s Temple. In contradiction to his own self interest, Stoen refused the grant from the Secretary of the State of California, for that reason, according to the best evidence, that he, Stoen
      1. fears to reveal that in the 1960s, in Germany, he worked for American intelligence undercover of Rotary International.
      2. that Stoen is now being funded and directed by American Intelligence using an fascist conduit in the country of Venezuela.
      3. that Stoen is presently receiving large cash payments through a Venezuelan bank.
      4. that Stoen would rather face criminal charges and the imminent loss of his attorney’s license to practice law (which he knows is pending) than reveal his long relationship with American Intelligence.

7. 7. David Cahn [Conn] is a longtime informant for:
      1. The Treasury Department and
      2. Other agencies including the FBI and the CIA
      3. formerly an informant for HUAC [House Un-American Activities Committee]
   8. 8. The Myrtle-Mills were agents and informers both before and after the relationship with the Peoples Temple. Further, the Myrtle-Mills are involved in a malicious campaign against the Peoples Temple under the direction of Tim Stoen. Stoen’s campaign includes the filing of false and malicious lawsuits for the purposes of harassment. – Included in the conspiracy are David Cahn, the Myrtle-Mills, George Klineman, and Tim Stoen, with the knowledge and connivance of both the FBI and the CIA.
      9. The purpose of this malicious campaign of conspiracy and harassment is to weaken, undermine, and destabilize the government of Guyana. To this end some sincere but confused and misled former members of the Peoples Temple have been used and are being used as pawns of the conspiracy.
      10. Threats of violence made in the name of Peoples Temple were in fact instigated by Tim Stoen and exist on tape in several cases.
      11. Joseph Mazor both flew over Jonestown and physically surveilled the community.
      12. Mazor is now ready to begin negotiations to personally visit Jonestown at the invitation of the Peoples Temple in order to:
          1. Satisfy himself that no children are being held in connection against their will and
          2. To depose Tish Leroy concerning the many Stoen forgeries of power of attorney. Mazor states that if satisfied on these accounts he will a. go to the media with the Stoen story, b. Confront the Myrtle-Mills. c. Cooperate with CRG to the end that justice is done in the matter of the Peoples Temple affair.

   Personal Recommendation:

   Bring Mazor to Jonestown at once. He is ready to turn around. He has already approached the State Bar against Stoen. Liaison with Mazor should now be the first order of business.

   Donald Freed is a professor of linguistics and a prize-winning author.

   Professor Freed has taught in the Humanities at UCLA, the University of Southern California, the California Institute of the Arts, and in a special project at the University he brought together – Erik A. Erikson and Huey Erikson and Huey P. P. Newton – in a historic dialogue that was published as the book In Search Of Common Ground. His history of the war against the Black Panther party appeared as Agony in New Haven.

   Three plays have won prizes including the Gandhi Centennial, and Inquest, the drama on Rosenberg case played on Broadway. Mr. Freed’s The Glasshouse Tapes won a Gold Medal Award.

   Professor Freed’s work on the assassination of President Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King have led to the book and film with Mark Lane, Executive Action, and a new film on the murder of Dr. King with Mr. Lane and Donald Sutherland.

   Donald Freed is the Director with Mark Lane of the Citizens Commission of Inquiry and its “Age of Conspiracy” project.
