Yulanda Williams became a member of Peoples Temple at age 12 in 1969 and moved to Guyana in 1976. She left Jonestown in the fall of 1977 with her husband, Ron Crawford.
Ms. Williams is the daughter of Rev. Harry W. Williams, Sr., who was a minister at St. Mark Institutional Missionary Baptist Church in San Francisco, and of Rose Mary Williams. She was a member of the San Francisco Police Department for more than 30 years, and was the president of the Officers for Justice in SF. In more recent years, Ms. Williams has turned her life to develop her talents as a singer, and she has produced numerous videos.
