Re San Francisco tel call to Bureau, 7/18/79.

For the information of the Bureau on July 18, 1979, [name deleted], formerly of the [words deleted] advised the FBI Resident Agency at Santa Rosa, California, that he had received a telephone call from [name deleted], Committee on International Relations, US House of Representatives. In this call, [name deleted] asked [name deleted] for the identity of the second FBI Agent who took a call on or about Christmas Day, 1978 regarding the plane trip of Michael Prokes from Georgetown, South America to San Francisco. According to [name deleted], he told [name deleted] he did not know the identity of this Agent.

The San Francisco office does not consider the matter of these telephone calls to be pertinent, however, the Bureau’s attention is being directed to this inasmuch as it appears Mr. [name deleted] is continuing to make inquiries and may at a later date attempt to embarrass the FBI in some way.
