Re BQMRA tel to Bureau January 17, 1979, and SJ [San Juan] tel to Bureau January 16, 1979.

On January 17, 1979, Richard McCoy, U.S. Department of State (USDS), Caribbean Affairs, advised he recalls talking with the Embassy, Trinidad, regarding the tapes of BWIA pilot [name deleted] and advising Trinidad to forward the tapes to him. He does not recall seeing the tapes on their arrival and presumes they went to the USDS Task Force and were turned over to Bureau Supervisor [name deleted]. McCoy furnished names of people to contact in the event the tapes are not in possession of FBI HQ.

[Handwritten addition: Richard McCoy, State Dept, advised me on 1/18/79 that he now recalled that these are the two tapes he provided to me on 12/12/78 (see Ingram to Moore memo 12/20/78 and FD-302 12/13/78). [Name deleted] 1/18/79]
