Reference Bureau teletype to San Juan, January 15, 1979.

Referenced teletype states that BWIA pilot [Name deleted] was unable to name US authorities who he furnished with tapes of broadcasts of People’s Temple (PT) between Guyana and San Francisco.

On January 16, 1979, John Adams, Consul, U.S. Embassy, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, advised that the tapes in question were received by a deputy from the U.S. Embassy at Port of Spain on December 1, 1978.

Tapes were mailed on December 5, 1978 to Department of State, Washington, D.C., attention Mr. Richard McCoy, telephone number [deleted] with instructions to forward them to FBIHQ.
