Dear Mr. [Griffin] Bell,
There is a certain unsavory character named Timothy O. Stoen who acted as legal counsel for the People Temple in California for a number of years and then went crazy on the Temple because he wasn’t man enough to stand with their leader through thick and thin. He is apparently attempting to use the FBI to attack the Temple and some others are working with him. It would be an outrage to the taxpayers if these crackpots succeed in pulling the FBI into this plot.
