SUBJECT: LOCATION OF POSSIBLE SURVIVORS OF JONESTOWN COMMUNITY
1. Department has been informed by a California based ham radio operator who has monitored Peoples Temple transmitions from Guyana intermittently over the past four years that the Peoples Temple has maintained two satellite farms or camps within 75 to 100 miles of Jonestown. If this information is correct some survivors of the Jonestown community might be found at these locations.
2. Embassy may wish to see if this information can be verified, and to pass it on to GOG [Government of Guyana] security forces if it seems reliable.
