At 8:15 AM, on November 21, 1978, military aircraft arrived at San Francisco International Airport and the body of Congressman Leo J. Ryan was removed and transported to Cosby and Gray Mortuary, Burlingame, California. Funeral scheduled for 11:00 AM, November 22, 1978 at All Souls Church, South San Francisco, California. Coordination of local and federal law enforcement agencies regarding security at the funeral is being established this date.

Also deplaning was James Schollaert, committee staff member of Ryan’s. Schollaert was in Georgetown, Guyana at the time of the shooting of Ryan and was not involved or able to furnish information regarding People’s Temple (PT) operations in Jonestown. Schollaert interviewed by Bureau agents in detail.

The aircraft left San Francisco en route to Los Angeles International Airport, arriving at LL:45 [11:45] AM. The only remaining individuals on the plane are the military crew and the body of newman [newsman] Bob Brown. Brown’s body will be deplaned at Los Angeles.

No interviews remain to be conducted by Los Angeles agents upon plane’s arrival.
