On November 21, 1978, [deleted name], “New West” Magazine, San Francisco, California, [deleted name] contacted this office. She stated that a writer for that magazine, Gordon Lindsey [Lindsay], had been in Jonestown, Guyana. He stated that he had seen a “hit list” and two names on it. First was Tim Stoen and second was Gordon Lindsey.

Lindsey also learned that there was a “committee plan”. This plan stated that in the event of the death of Jim Jones, the members of the People’s Temple (PT) in San Francisco, were to at first give the impression they were stunned and upset. Then the members were to initiate the hits as stated on the

hit lists.

Lindsey was contacted by Steve Ramirez, who stated he was an FBI agent and wanted to talk to him. Ramirez could be the Assistant District Attorney in Los Angeles referred to in a previous teletype. Lindsey stated he did not trust this set up, and he was returning to Los Angeles through surreptitious rounds, and would arrive in Los Angeles on November 22, 1978.

[Deleted name] stated she would talk to Lindsey on November 22, 1978, and would advise him to contact SA [Special Agent] [deleted name] in the Los Angeles office upon his arrival to arrange an interview.
