Re Indianapolis teletype to the Bureau and San Francisco dated November 23, 1978.

Mrs. [name deleted], Lynn, Indiana, on November 24, 1978, advised she is the first cousin of Rev. Jim Jones. The only other relative in the Lynn, Indiana area is a Mrs. [deleted name], who is also a first cousin, [deleted name], Williamsburg, Indiana. Rev. Jones’ parents are both deceased and Jones was an only child.

[deleted name] as a child used to play with Rev. Jones. The only other person who was closer to Jones in the Lynn, Indiana area would have been Mrs. Myrtle Kennedy (deceased) who introduced

Rev. Jones to church as a boy. Mrs. Kennedy was a, “contributor” to Rev. Jones’ church.

In the last five or six years Mrs. [name deleted] had seen Rev. Jones three times, last being three years ago when Rev. Jones and approx. four bus loads of church members stopped in Lynn, Indiana on their way from California to Washington, D.C. on a church trip. Jones brought his three children and two church members, names unknown, one being a lawyer, to meet Mrs. [name deleted]. The group stayed in Lynn, Indiana for a few minutes only.

She described Jones’ demeanor at the time as happy-go-lucky as she had known him as a youngster, prior to he and his family moving to Richmond, Indiana, approx. 30 years ago.

She knows of nobody in Lynn, Indiana, or the surrounding area who had contact with or belonged to the Peoples Temple church, other than Mrs. Kennedy when she was living. Mrs. [name deleted], Williamsburg, Indiana, advised that Mrs. [name deleted] is the closest relative in Randolph County to Rev. Jones, who moved to Richmond, Indiana approx. 30 years ago. She known [knows] of no members or supporters of the Peoples Temple church. She has

not had any contact with Jones since he was approx. seven years old.

Mrs. [name deleted], Lynn, Indiana, advised that she was a schoolmate of Rev. Jones until his junion [junior] year in high school when he and his family moved to Richmond. She has had no contact with Rev. Jones since and knows of no one who is connected with the Peoples Temple church.

[name deleted], Lynn, Indiana, who has lived in Lynn, Indiana, all his life, advised that he was a neighbor of Rev. Jones’ family. He has had no contact with Rev. Jones since the family left for Richmond, Indiana, and knows of no member or supporter of the Peoples Temple church.

Mrs. [name deleted], Lynn, Indiana, advised that she was a neighbor to Rev. Jones when his family lived in Lynn, Indiana. She had no contact with Rev. Jones except for seeing him when he came to Lynn, Indiana, with a few bus loads of church members approx. 3 years ago. She is not aware of any church member or followers of the church in Lynn, Indiana.
