Re San Francisco telephone call to Bureau, November 25, 1978, PM.
On late evening of November 25, 1978, [deleted name] [Pat Richartz], assistant to Charles Garry, telephonically advised that she heard local news announcement from military personnel at Dover Air Force Base requesting friends, relatives, and doctors having photographs or medical records to assist in the identification of deceased Peoples Temple (PT) members to be forwarded to Dover Air Force Base. [Richartz] advised that it was PT’s policy to have all residence [residents] in Jonestown to bring with them all available medical and dental records. She advised Jonestown maintained these records at Temple in Jonestown. She also advised one dentist, name unknown, in Jonestown and local dental work for Jonestown residents.
State Department should be made aware of all above information and efforts made to obtain medical records from Jonestown and Georgetown, if available.
