Reference Bureau Telcal to ASAC, San Francisco 11/27/78.

This confirms referenced telcal at which time San Francisco was advised that on November 24, 1978, FBI HQ accepted an 8 x 11 inch sealed manilla [manila] envelope stamped confidential which contained a note found on the body of Reverend James Jones. The envelope was opened at FBI HQ and it contained a smaller manila envelope within it was a white letter sized envelope. The white envelope contained a folded note. The Bureau typed version of this note is as follows:

“Dad Dad: I see no way out – I agree with your decision – I fear only that without you the world may not make it to communism – ish (word believed to be Fish or Tish)

The Bureau will afford orginal [original] notes and appropriate 302’s as well as a zerox [Xerox] copy of the note by airtel.

San Francisco at San Francisco conduct appropriate investigation and attempt to identify PT individuals using name Fish or Tish.

San Francisco should note that the Peoples Temple list provided by attorney Garry lists following possibilities:

Number 141 – Patricia Pauline Cartmell, aka Trisha Cartmell, DOB July 3, 1954; white female.

Number 261 – Leatitia Eikler [Eichler], aka Tish Leroy, DOB September 14, 1930; white female.

Number 417 Leticia Jackson, DOB (none); black female.

Armed and dangerous.
