The anonymous caller received a telephone call from Guyana from his brother who is US soldier with the graves registration detachment in Jonestown. The soldier was able to go through People’s Temple (PT) files before they were confiscated by Guyana officials. He allegedly saw evidence of PT’s involvement in drug smuggling. The soldier told his

brother to write down the following: “November 14, 1978… [2 deleted lines] and pass it on to Esquire Magazine. [Deleted name] believes “Esquire Magazine” is a reference to (FNU) [first name unknown] Corum’s September, 1978 article in that magazine detailing the South American drug trade. [Deleted name] believed caller to be legitimate and believed FBI may be interested in this information.
