Cardboard box found by San Mateo County Sheriff’s office containing partially burned documents of People’s Temple (PT). Items observed by Sheriff’s office include documents of power of attorney and identification cards.

PT attorney [Charles] Garry opened some of his files on suits filed regarding deceased persons to the press this P.M. Agents on site and reviewing documents which will continue tomorrow.

Garry furnishing list of those persons still located within the San Francisco PT.

A list of 961 names known to have emigrated to Guyana from United States obtained from Garry and transmitted to FBI HQ.

Procedures begun to obtain NBC tapes through New York office.

USA [United States Attorney], San Francisco, desirous of additional information from Mark Lane, Memphis, regarding general knowledge in possession of Terri Buford to determine if immunity will be considered. FBI, Memphis, unable to locate Lane for recontact.

Sandra Bradshaw and Archie Ijames in Garry’s office, this date, with Garry claiming he is attempting to persuade them to submit to interview.

List of names delivered by Sherwin Harris to U.S. Embassy, Guyana, prior to his departure which contains identification of persons Harris believes to be dangerous obtained from Harris this date.

In unrelated incidents, San Francisco Mayor and City Supervisor shot to death by former City Supervisor. No indication that killer is associated with PT and every indication that this is the result of an ongoing political dispute.
