SUBJECT: INQUIRY REGARDING WELFARE OF PT MEMBER MICHAEL TOUCHETTE

1. Mr. [Charles] Touchette appeared at embassy morning of December 5 after attempts to reach him December failed. He asks that the remains of his wife, Carol Joyce Touchette, son Albert Touchette, and daughter, Michelle Elaine Touchette be interred along with those members of the Peoples’ Temple who were recovered from Jonestown but who remain unidentifiable.

2. He states that he is without funds.

3. Above has been prepared and signed statement which will be forwarded to the department of state for appropriate distribution [distribution].
