Last contact she had with [name withheld]

[name withheld] was two days before the suicides in Guyana.

[name withheld] advised there were approximately 150 members on the Planning Commission through these years. [name withheld] named approximately 23 which were leading forces in this Planning Commission. Above the Planning Commission was an elite group of individuals who were close confidants of Jones and privy to inside information that the Planning Commission was not. [name withheld] recalled eleven names of members of this elite group.

[name withheld] stated that people on the hit list were discussed weekly during their Wednesday night Planning Commission meetings. If Jones felt that there was trouble from the news media or law enforcement, he would hold two or three meetings a week [several lines deleted]

[name withheld] stated that the following individuals were on the hit list: Richard Nixon, when he was president of the United States; Ronald Reagan, when he was governor of California; former Mayor George Moscone; Willie Brown, present state assemblyman representing the city of San Francisco; Quentin Kopp, present San Francisco Supervisor; present reporters for the San Francisco Examiner and the writers for the New West magazine who wrote adverse articles concerning the Peoples Temple.

whereabouts are unknown.

San Francisco is presently notifying Supervisor Kopp and appropriate officials at San Francisco Examiner and New West magazine.

United States Secret Service, San Francisco, immediately advised and they are handling notification of former President Richard Nixon.

Leads. New York. At BQMRA, attention RYMUR Command Post. Will continue debriefing of [name withheld] and insure strict confidentiality.

Los Angeles. At Los Angeles. Will immediately notify former Governor Reagan.

Sacramento. At Sacramento, California. Will immediately notify state assemblyman Willie Brown.

Bureau and all offices should note that [name withheld] has requested that the above information be kept in the strictest confidence and the fact that she has been contacted by Bureau agents be held within Bureau and/or a need to know basis.
