On 11/29/78, [name deleted], Bureau of Consular Affairs, Department of State, provided to Liaison Officer [name deleted], the original letter dated 9/3/78 to the District Attorney of Los Angeles County, Los Angeles, California, from the “Residents at Peoples Temple Agricultural Mission Community, North West Region, Guyana, South America.” The letter was signed by approximately 600 persons. [name deleted] was unable to furnish the date the letter was given by the Los Angeles District Attorney to the State Department.

Enclosed for San Francisco is the original of a letter dated 9/3/78 to the Los Angeles District Attorneys Office from the Peoples Temple at Jonestown, Guyana. Also enclosed is the original and two copies of a FD 302 showing receipt of this letter from the U.S. Department of State.
