by Reverend Jones and members of “inner circle” as extremely intelligent individual who demonstrated unstable, insecure emotional state. Schacht possessed dissatisfaction with “state of things in general”. Schacht characterized as extremely rebellious personality and according to [Kice], it was these personality flaws which prompted Jones to personally select Schacht to attend medical school to serve Jones’ and PT ends. At PT expense Schacht and several other PT members, whom [Kice] declined to identify, were sent to Mexico for the purpose of attending medical school. Mexico selected as education in this field could be more quickly completed than in the U.S. Schacht returned periodically to PT, San Francisco, California, and Ukiah, California in 1971, 1972 and 1973 and worked closely with Joyce Parks, as Jones’ personal physician. the adopted daughter of Reverend Archie Ijames. Bikeman was teacher’s assistant in PT church, San Francisco, California, in 1973. [Kice] knows nothing of Schacht’s marriage in Guyana.

During the course of the interview, [Kice] furnished the following information:

The “hit list” was largely compiled by Jones and select members of PT as direct result of media attack made on Jones and PT by the Reverend Lester Kinsolving in the early 1970s. Kinsolving, whom [Kice] did not further identify, blamed Jones and PT for disappearance of a Negro female defector and her four-year-old adopted son. [Kice] advised this Negro female, whose name she does not recall, granted accessibility to confidential PT files maintained by inner circle member Linda Amos, and discovered Jones was a fake. This Negro female contacted Reverend Kinsolving with this information. [Kice] stated this Negro female and her son were “last seen alive” in Reno, Nevada, in approximately 1972 and she “believes” they are now deceased and buried in Redwood Valley, California, on PT land owned in name Carolyn Layton. [Kice] intimates personal knowledge of this crime but will not elaborate further.

Nixon; then Vice-President Spiro T. Agnew; then U.S. Representative Gerald Ford; Tim Stoen (PT defector); Marshall Kilduff (not further identified); Phil Tracey [Tracy] (not further identified); Reverend Lester Kinsolving.

[Kice] additionally advised Congressman Leo Ryan was aware of PT early 1970s, although Ryan was not serving as a congressman at that time. [Kice] stated Ryan had made a number of inquiries of PT regarding their activities while [Kice] in inner circle and was regarded by Jones at that time as a threat because “Ryan was too inquisitive”. [Kice] does not recall Ryan’s official office in 1970s, but believes he was in California legislature. [Kice] declined to state if Ryan was on hit list at the time of her defection.

[Kice] advised that she has personal knowledge of cave located on land in Redwood Valley, which land purchased from Golden Rule Church by PT. [Kice] advised various items belonging to PT stored in this

cave but she declined to identify these items. [Kice] advised she had been in this cave on previous occasions.

[Kice] advised [Name deleted] blackmailed Jones for $10,000 cash for return of files taken by [Name deleted] at time of [Kice]’s defection. [Kice] confidentially characterized [Name deleted] as “most intelligent” of inner circle and stated [Name deleted] has personal knowledge of capital crimes committed by Jones and PT. [Kice] stated [Name deleted] extremely sophisticated and convincing liar and able to convince “almost anyone” of anything. [Kice] again stated [Name deleted], Terry Buford, Carolyn Layton, and Sandy Bradshaw had planned murders of PT defectors in closed inner circle meetings and that a number of these persons

“disappeared” subsequent to these planning sessions. [Kice] advised Mark Lane, Charles Garry, Sandy Bradshaw, Terry Buford, Mike Prokes, and Jean Brown, were considered by her most dangerous individuals currently in PT. [Kice] did not elaborate reasons for this.

[Kice] stated [Name deleted] [Debbie Layton Blakey], who is currently cooperating with U.S. State Department [information withheld], could corroborate information previously furnished by her, although she does not wish to be identified to [Blakey] as source of this information.

During last two interviews of [Kice], [Kice] has refused to furnish certain information to the Bureau. [Kice] has stated that she will furnish no further information regarding hit list contingency plans for PT [2 lines deleted]. It was explained in exhaustive detail to [Kice] that her cooperation desperately needed and was in her best interests. [Kice] again advised of witness protection program and possibility
